Our priorities show us who we are.
Matthew 6:21. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
Our priorities shape our lives. In other words, you will get what you what in life.
- She had Spiritual Perception.
- Do we have godly perspectives?
- Are we paying attention to what is really important to God?
Matthew 6:33. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
She got involved.
When you get involved, it always involves a risk.
Matthew 20:26-27. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.
She was content where she was in life.
1 Timothy 6:6. Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
- She had a positive attitude.
- She wasn’t complaining.
- She didn’t get bitter.
Ephesians 6:4. Fathers,do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
Romans 8:28. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Proverbs 31:30. Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
- God blessed this faithful woman (by giving her a son)
- God allowed her to be seriously tested by losing her son.
- She didn’t let go of the promise.
What’s God’s goal?
- To grow you in biblical faith.
- To know his great love and compassion even more (to another level)
Hebrews 11:6. And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
